This engine leads to a problem which I tried to post on the forums but for some reason I can't log in. This engine has a cab built by American Fire Equipment, inc. The pump is by a different company. All of the other ones are listed as the company who made the pump (such as Pirsch). I think these should be listed as American unknown (since I cant find the model) or maybe just American Pumper. We could put the pump maker after. Other trucks on the site that need fixing are: (correction in parenthesis)... unknown could be substituted for Pumper if you want. vehicle_96552-Pirsch.html (American unknown/Pirsch) vehicle_105362-Pirsch.html (American unknown/Pirsch) vehicle_10471-Pirsch-1000-500-1978.html (1978 American unknown/Pirsch 1000-500) vehicle_68531-Spartan.html (American unknown/Spartan) vehicle_97938-unknown.html (American unknown/Hahn) |

I made the changes. But maybe we should list that as "American/Pirsch" annd "American/Spartan" as make for example? Like what was made for /vehicle_53826-Darley-Spartan-Pumper-1985.html By the way, is there any link between "American" and "American LaFrance"? |

If you are talking about modern motorized apparatus then none at all. American Fire Co. was one of the several companies that originally formed American LaFrance in the 19th Century. -- Last edit: 2009-02-10 05:23:47 |
