![]() In Ep.1.25 "Maigret et la grande perche" Vauxhall Viscount?... but seems to be smaller. |

I agree too small so not a Vauxhall Viscount. If it was a British car I would say the Hillman/Sunbeam Avenger would be the most similar in overall shape and size. Not enough detail to be certain I think. |

Yes, I agree with Sunbar, it seems to be a 1970+ Sunbeam - as it was sold in France - 1500 or 1973+ 1600 ( judging by the four headlights ). I don't know exactly what was the model range in France, but this seems to be an upmarket version with its vinyl-covered roof, metallic paint, etc. |

I agree, too. If you look at this ... /vehicle.php?id=126038 you can see just a little more of the side; and the indicator's in the right place, as well. |

So how do we enter it? Sunbeam 1500 or 1600? |

"L'Automobile - Salon 72" lists it for 1973 as 1500 TC ( the model wasn't mentioned the year before ). |

Obrigado. I should have known that, having owned both an Avenger 1250 (1973) and a 1300 (1976) ... presumably the 1500 became a 1600 at the same time. ![]() |

I wonder how many other cars have been sold under so many manufacturers' brand names? Hillman, Sunbeam, Chrysler, Talbot, Plymouth, Dodge, Volkswagen ... ![]() |
