JMP, Middx June 38. JMR, Wilts, Nov 52. JWR, Yorks, West Riding, Sep 49. JNR, Leics, May 53. JHR, Wilts again Sep 52. JKR, Kent, Jun 47. Probably not Yorks, it would take a week to drive it to London. I’m inclined towards 38 or 47, not much newer. But looking at this.... http://www.historywebsite.co.uk/Museum/Transport/commercial/Guy/guyhistory6.htm It could be a Wolf. -- Last edit: 2019-05-26 17:24:40 |

It has a London (Kensington) phone no. here so maybe JXP 683 (June 48 to Sept 49 "allocated in blocks") or JXR 683 (June to Nov 48). |

Would fit the production dates for either Wolf or Vixen. |

No reason to change from the Vixen 4-tonner I think. I'm guessing the longer of the wheelbases Vixen 167" against the 156" Wolf 2-3 ton. |

Thanks, it’s not easy to scale the vehicle due to the angle from which the film was shot, and the wheels are not visible either. It was interesting to read through the Guy history, and to see a couple of vehicles that I think were in use locally to me. Growing up in the boondocks of central Staffs, the Staffordshire Farmers truck would probably have come up and down the lane delivering to the farms about us, but if that mobile shop wasn’t the one that visited us weekly, it was its double. |

Ellen DeGeneres clearly doesn't share the carefree and optimistic look of that Guy on her right. |
