Looks like Austin Mini script on the boot? 'G' is 1968-1969. -- Last edit: 2007-09-13 13:58:47 |

You must have eyes like a hawk! Note: twin fuel tanks, fake wicker panels to the sides, repeater turn indicator on the front wing - is this a Wood and Pickett car? |

Not really only that the Austin Mini italic script was larger than the Mini Minor bold script. |

I think twin tanks were standard by this time? |

Yes, they were. It's a MkII and it's a professional conversion. |

Although this has wicker-effect sides and a sunroof, it's not very convincing as a Wood & Picket or similar - still has ordinary wheels and sliding windows. Happy that it's a Cooper S though. |

I think it was Radford who introduced the wicker side panels - the most famous example being owned and indeed used by Peter Sellers... |

"The black MK2 Cooper 'S' (VLX31G) with Wickerwork in the fiim is a John Sprinzel car not a Radford. The car was owned by the films Co producer 'JAY KANTER' from new," |
