 Looks like Austin Mini script on the boot? 'G' is 1968-1969.

Not really only that the Austin Mini italic script was larger than the Mini Minor bold script. ;)

 Yes, they were. It's a MkII and it's a professional conversion.

 Although this has wicker-effect sides and a sunroof, it's not very convincing as a Wood & Picket or similar - still has ordinary wheels and sliding windows. Happy that it's a Cooper S though.

 I think it was Radford who introduced the wicker side panels - the most famous example being owned and indeed used by Peter Sellers...
