![]() ![]() Brightness adjusted to help identify despite an almost impossible lack of detail. Wipers suggest built primarily for Left Drive markets and before mid-1970s. Not a British sports car probably. -- Last edit: 2019-07-06 14:32:51 |

So it might be British but it certainly isn’t a sportscar. Looks like a Herald/Vitesse rear light casting. -- Last edit: 2019-07-06 17:21:54 |

I'm impressed. Going with a Triumph Herald convertible as being suitable for the character but I just need to convince myself. I can possibly find another Herald convertible in a different episode, to link it with. |

OK, Triumph Herald 13/60 convertible after about 1970 when the wiper pattern (wiper pivot positions) looks to have changed. A strange offset on both RHD and LHD favouring the driver on the LHD and passenger on RHD. (A large un-wiped at the top of the A pillar on the right side on the windscreen.) /vehicle_276618-Triumph-Herald-13-60-Convertible-1970.html Triumph Herald 13/60 or possibly Vitesse which underwent the same change /vehicle.php?id=533347 -- Last edit: 2019-07-06 19:13:17 |

Mine was a 1961 Herald 1200 Coupé, 9071 RW, bought for £20. I won the local motor club’s prod car trials cup in it, by default, as the bloke who came first, in a new Opel Kadett, had won another prize as the club’s navigation expert, so I got the cup. It ended its days as a donor car for another Herald that was in even worse condition. -- Last edit: 2019-07-06 19:25:29 |
