Im under the assumption that they could have been on a field trip. And they called those slant 6s leaning towers of power, but I dont know if it could push a bus. |

They are on a trip. By looking at the weather you can guess it is summer, so they might be using their last school week to make some trips. |

Actually you do see buses on that road to pick up children that live in that canyon. Granted there were fewer children back in 1971 but the area were they shot the scenes is right near were they filmed the quarry scenes in The Flintstones movie. It looks like the middle of nowhere but is less than ten miles from Santa Clarita. It is also about 12 miles to the grade school in Acton. Back then it could have been a field trip to Soledad Sands Park which is now a Thousand Trails RV Park. |
