I don't think a Mercedes. Rathar something more exotic. My first idea was an Isuzu Florian or a Nissan-Datsun Cedric but it looks more to a Tatra T-613. |

LHD, and if a Tatra T613 an unexpected find in UK. My first idea was Talbot Solara until I peered more closely and quickly rejected the idea. After looking at pics of late T613s, I'm warming to the idea (and don't have a better alternative) - in late 1990s around film date, there were initial plans to sell the T613-4 here with 4 RHD prototypes built as the T613-5 so maybe some LHD tasters arrived first. And it might explain why this black car is only captured at night, so that its newness is not obvious onscreen. -- Last edit: 2019-09-18 22:31:23 |

There is this particular left hand drive T-613 in the UK, which seem to have these exact hubcaps: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=1760818 |

The car is a Tatra T613-3. It was my car and I allowed it to be used for the film. I spent a very long day on the film set with the car. It was quite a cold day and my Tatra became a very popular place to hang out because of its independent heating systems which work when the engine isn't running. The car was filmed in action with me driving it as well as being used in static shots. Unfortunately, they used very little of that filming and there are only a couple of glimpses of the car in the film. I owned the car for 26 years, and eventually sold it when I acquired an older Tatra. |
