The hood ornament seems to be based on Norman Lindsay's "Sphinx" sculpture: Link to "joyofmuseums.com" Though that article says it dates from the late 1940s, so that would make it an anachronism (this film is set in the interwar years) -- Last edit: 2019-09-26 16:03:13 |

Don't know about the hood ornament, but I think that this is an old Vauxhall logo on the radiator? |

From http://www.normanlindsay.net/index.php/norman-lindsay-sculptures "His first Sphinx was crafted in 1927 in conjunction with Rayner Hoff and was just small enough to decorate the radiator cap of Rose's 1926 Vauxhall."
