Promenade du petit fils de Gabin, avec se nurse anglaise...le chauffeur suit dans la limousine familiale ...une Rolls je pense... |

Je penche pour une Silver Wraight (sur a 90 % disont) |

I do not think these are the same cars .The one with the nurse and the boy seems to be a Bentley Mk VI of 1950/51 vintage .As far as I can see it has the round Bentley grille without the flying lady mascot. The car on the small picture is a Rolls-Royce and one can clearly spot the Rolls-Royce grille and flying lady mascotfrom behind .It may be a pre-1950 (ca ' 48) Silver Wraith .Are the two following each other in the same sequence or in different sequences in the movie ? |

I agree with Pilou. The car seen in front view has the soft, curved radiator shell typical of a fifties Bentley (NOT a Rolls of that era, which is angular). Au fait, "Wraith" [apparition, fantome, spectre) et non pas "Wraight". |

Sorry to contradict Gentlemens, but the 2 cars are the same. The picture are not in the same sequence, but look at this![]() The black Rolls Royce is following the Silver Cloud into the "Hotel particulier" where lives M.SHOUDLER (Jean Gabin) ![]() ![]() ![]() I am not a specialist of Rolls Royce, but I am sure it is one of them -- Last edit: 2006-06-04 15:21:03 (antp) |

The black car is a Bentley Mk.VI Standard Steel Sports Saloon (1946-55). It is almost identical to the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn (1949-55), which was the first RR to be sold with a standard steel body. The mascot on the radiator grille is Bentley's 'Winged B'. |

So! ...the car seen on the 2 different sequences are actually the same...and the mascot showing the old "Bentley Winged B"...you were right. |

The additional pictures show that the car behind the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud is indeed a Bentley Mark VI Sports Saloon. |
