Austin/Morris 1100/1300 |

The Mk.II version of the ADO16 was introduced in Denmark at the beginning of 1968. The four door version was always a 1300, named either Austin 1300 or Morris Marina GT or MG 1300. In 1970 the Austin & Morris 1300 GT appeared As the MG and the 1300 GT versions had extra side trim, this is either a Austin 1300 or a Morris Marina GT. The writing on the boot lid is that of a Morris, if I am not mistaken. |

/vehicle_68925-Morris-Marina-1975.html Alex, I thought that was a Marina. This picture is a Morris 1300. |

They were indeed named Marina in Denmark, but I thought that only the mk.I cars - I was wrong. Here something about it: http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?homepage.htm -- Last edit: 2007-10-15 23:03:48 |

I don't think this is GT. The text from http://www.aronline.co.uk/index.htm?homepage.htm (same site as weasel's link but new address - however only goes to front page so you have to then find the entry) reads "Around New Year 1968, the MkII body-style was introduced. The 1100 MkII was available only in basic, 2-door form .... The 1300s, on the other hand, were sold as the Morris Marina GT and Austin 1300, in Super Deluxe trim with the option of 2- and 4-door models ...." So while I'll go with the Morris Marina bit (though Austin also possible) this looks basic 2 door Morris Marina 1100 Mk2, not the Super Deluxe trim of the GT. |
