Shermans were built under several manufacturers; some of the ones on the site are listed under Alco, Ford or Fisher.

this is the Canadian Grizzly version..see the G cast in a shield on the front,so its the Canadian version, not an Alco M4A2.

The G cast on the hull is the foundry mark for General Steel Castings Corporation, PA, not for Grizzly. http://web.inter.nl.net/users/spoelstra/g104/foundry.htm

Grizzlys were ones made and used in Canada for Training and there were only a couple of hundred of them made.

More than likely it is a Grizzly. However, the only way to really confirm it would be to actually inspect the vehicle. If was a Grizzly, you'd find the serial number stamped just into the glacis just above the General Steel foundry logo.

Having just watched this episode I can confirm this is a Sherman and not a Grizzly. There's a shot where you can see the left drive sprocket and it has 13 teeth, not 17, plus it has rubber track pads and not the CDPs of a Grizzly.

It has a cast hull so it's an M4A1. The hull was cast by General Steel, so it's probably a Pressed Steel Car Sherman.
