Ford Transit? |

IMO, the front window looks a little bit too tall for a Transit. Maybe this isn't even a van, but something smaller like Renault 6 ?? Link to "www.reezocar.com" |

I am pretty sure this is a Simca 1100 or a later Talbot badged version. |

But the lines around the door windows don't fit here, on Simca/Talbot it looks like this: Link to "lh3.googleusercontent.com" -- Last edit: 2020-01-30 21:11:43 |

Looks like a short door, more like a van or minibus than a car. The door is definitely too short for 2/3 door car, and the far pillar with the central seatbelt does not look as if it could accommodate rear door mountings. So a minibus. |

and size and position of the steering wheel is van/minibus-ish. |

If this is a minibus/van, then it must be a very small one with a cramped interior and a low headroom, because remember that we're looking at this image from a passenger vehicle (I'm guessing from this VW Golf MKI. Compare the mirrors on both cars: barely visible chrome side mirrors on the subject car are even lower than on the Golf! I don't agree with the short door theory (and we don't actually see the whole door here), because several cars did have relatively short doors (the already mentioned Renault 6, for example), and I don't see how the position of the steering wheel or the seatbelt visible on that pillar wouldn't look right in a passenger vehicle (see the interior on the already mentioned Renault 6) I'm not ruling out vans or minibuses, but I can't think of any van/minibus which would be this small (and the ones which would have no quarter lights on the front door) -- Last edit: 2020-02-01 01:20:33 |

Yes, I know, it's not old Multipla, but comparison man vs. interior of the car... |

There sure is a small old van with no quarter lights out there However, if you compare it with the subject car.. The steering wheel sits noticeably higher, the edges around the front door are more rounded https://img.pistonheads.com/Fullsize/fiat/600/fiat-600-S3394688-2.jpg These kind of seatbelts are not found on the Multipla's pillar (did they even have seatbelts on the pillar?) Link to "i.wheelsage.org" It's just an observation. But if it's decided that this is the van by the majority, then so be it. -- Last edit: 2020-02-01 02:05:04 |

I'm changing horses. Very tempted by the Renault 6 suggestion - s13a's links ^^^ show pretty well identical interior mirror in this black brick housing with sharp corners, plus the indent pressing around the side window outline. And this blue looks a common R6 colour (maybe after the square grille facelift??) |

Et tu, Brute... ![]() I never said taht is similar to Multipla. Only that interior is equally small. https://www.flickr.com/photos/33240904@N03/16655286457 (but with open second door on the passenger side?) And with driver: |

Renault 6 as s13a and dsl's comments. Every single detail seen, including windscreen height, window aperture, the interior B-pillar shape and in black all look convincing to me. |

In addition, the driver perfectly reflects the sophisticated hippie-stereotype of the Nordic countries of the 1970s/early 80s that usually drove cheap French cars such as Renault 4/6 and Citroën 2CV/Dyane. |
