The better class cars, when new, frequently had rhd in Europe. Taxis did as well in some cities. Pull up at the kerbside, and the chauffeur could hop out and open the door for his boss, or the driver for his fare, without the risk of being squashed by a passing vehicle. All Lancias remained rhd until quite modern times. |
