I'd list it as Vauxhall rather than under its "nickname". I thought we already had that car on the site btw, I guess I saw it elsewhere then. |

Agreed 1972 Vauxhall VX 4/90 [FD] "Victor" was not part of this original "VX 4/90" name, only the lower performance version. I think it was intended originally to indicate 4 cylinders 90 bhp from the first [FB] VX 4/90, but the name didn't change even on later versions. |

Something of a local celebrity, this car. Extract from the local evening newspaper: http://www.expressandstar.com/2006/09/12/andys-vauxhall-has-edge-on-f1/ ![]() |

The link given by Chris40 says this car is known as Red Victor 2, not Red Victor 1. (The name is a reference to an old 'Policier' tv series on UK television in the 1960's). -- Last edit: 2007-11-05 00:13:54 |

Link to "www.bbc.co.uk" This has just appeared on the BBC local website, and explains (amongst other things) that Red Victor 2 is the same vehicle as Red Victor 1. Sorry it took nearly fourteen months to clear that up ![]() |
