In small towns I suppose, yes. That reminds me a recent discussion on old US police cars, someone (ford_guy or Snookie ?) said that some small US towns still had 80s or early 90s cars. Note that 1980 is probably the first year of the range, it may be from 1988 (maybe not, I do not know how to recognize the years of these), which makes it "only" 12 years old at the time of the movie. |

Yes, this is quite recent 12 years old is not that old for a car. Although of course the movie companies buy cars that are just out of service from the police force. Especially if they are about to crash them. I just think the budget was not very large for this. In opposite to taxi, where they crash police cars that are just one year of age... |

Well, that is not due to the budget but to the fact that Peugeot gives the cars, I think. When they crash Renault police cars, they use old Renault 21 Nevada ![]() |
