Interesting picture, it is an evolution of the Simca 9 Sport of 1951/52. The exact designation beeing "Simca Sport Week-end" and appeared with this new grill on the model 1953. There was a coupé at the same time named Simca Sport Coupé de Ville". In 1956 the model changed again with panoramic windscreen, lower body...the cabriolet was named "Oceane" and the coupé "Plein Ciel" |

I think this is a car built between october 1953 and september 1954 , thus a 1954 model year , because it has the directional lights under the headlights , whereas the cars built between august 1953 and september 1953 ( the 1953 1/2 cars that succeeded the Simca 9 sport) had their directional lights on the bar bridging the two bumper overriders in the middle of the grille .Unfortunately , overriders are missing on this particular car that looks quite worn off .Anyhow it is an extremely interesting document,since period pictures of these nice Simca models are rare |

Correction : with my further research I ealize that this one is A Week -end convertible of mid 1955/ and not a 1954 .Apologize to Ben 68 |
