Being in Hongkong it is probably an Indian assembled unit by the Premier Automobile Company in Kubla India , it may be Dodge or Fargo. |

Since Hong Kong was a British colony, wouldn't it be imported directly from the UK? India had (and perhaps still has) prohibitive import tariffs on completely built-up vehicles, which would be the reason for Premier's assembly operation. Unless Premier's Dodges had significant local content (labour costs in India being lower), they probably wouldn't be cheaper than British ones. (I've read that certain cars made by foreign joint ventures in China are more expensive there than in Europe because they're assembled almost entirely from imported parts.) -- Last edit: 2007-11-28 12:36:39 |

I would agree that it is more likely to be an import from the UK rather than India. Unless someone has better information I think that India produced vehicles for local sales rather than export in the period 1960-1970. |

I suggested the possibility of Fargo because they were sold as such in Australia (being assembled from CKD kits from Dodge UK) and might have been more conveniently sent to HK from there. But I admit that Dodge 100 Series is more likely. |

As the Dodge and Fargo variants are identical and even the name badges have the same shape I would suggest to use the original name, Dodge 100 Series 'Parrot Nose'. |
