Never noticed this car when it was added. What's the story behind it? |

It will sure as hell give a BMW 7-Series or Mercedes-Benz S-Class a run for it's money ... ![]() |

Not an AMG Merc (like the S63 or S65 AMG) or a BMW M5 ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-02-22 20:22:08 |

That's one very cool car |

Maybe so, but those cars are ridiculously expensive – right at $40,000 more for the BMW and $140,000 more for the Mercedes AMG S65 over the Kenny Brown P2 price tag. That alone disqualifies them to be in the Kenny Brown P2 Panther’s class. Even still, neither the M5 or S65 will have the Crown Victoria’s authoritative presence. I find it funny how people who have high-end BMW’s or Mercedes-Benz’s will stand on the brakes when a Crown Victoria comes near. They slow right down and merge with normal traffic, until the Crown Victoria is gone. -- Last edit: 2009-03-01 04:00:38 |

You have a point there, I was just showing how this wouldn't beat the top Merc and BMW sedans. But then the S65 AMG in particular (the S63 is considerably cheaper) is so hugely expensive (£145,000!) you could have a Ferrari or Lamborghini Gallardo for less! -- Last edit: 2008-02-23 12:51:48 |

Yes, that's only because they always use them as police cars in the US! Do you know they use BMW 5-series as police cars in Germany and even England? Crown Vics are even used as undercover cars, which isn't so subtle when you think about it. In England they use all kinds of cars as unmarked police cars, so that way people don't only slow down or suspect they're being tailed (if they're a criminal) whenever they see one model of car. -- Last edit: 2008-02-23 12:56:47 |

Crown Vics are RWD, which law enforcement agencies find useful. The other most common police car in the US is the Chevrolet Impala. Either of those two are likely to restrict the flow of traffic, whether or not it is a government-owned vehicle. The hardest ones to spot are the Dodge Charger variety of patrol vehicles, but these may continue to be rare during Chrysler's financial troubles. |
