Screw thanks for uploading complete entries. Really glad you received admin status. Really disheartening as an admin to log in to see new entries with ‘unknowns’ galore.

Edit: wait could this be [BB4]? [BB1] is 2.2 with 4WS. [BB4] is 2.2 without 4WS.

Oops, my mistake. Should have left BB as default :)

Question. Does the plate check tell us IF the vehicle has 4WS?

Was there the 2.2 without 4WS in UK? I'm saying this because in Italy the 2.2 was imported only with 4WS

As far as I can find UK Preludes were always 4WS on the 2.2 and 2.3:

Can't agree with you there. My whole interest on this site is in identifying stuff. I very rarely watch films and fiction, so do not know anything about it, can't stand modern culture so know nothing to post, plus the fact that I am not computer literate, so I prefer to respond and there seem fewer and fewer chances so to do. I also try to do everything from memory, only going to the books just before posting my views to try to keep errors to a minimum. This is all an exercise to attempt to fight off dementia by brain activity in some subject in which I have an interest,

All I can suggest is don't be disheartened. Our fuel is people having the dedication to post things. If we had a ruling against posting films where the poster does not know the IDs, then we'd lose a lot of additions. And we'd deprive folk who are mainly spotters of the opportunity to contribute their talents and enthusiasm, as jfs says. So films with lots of unknowns are just as important as films which arrive with fully oven-ready IDs. We need both.

its the same reason that makes me leave some blanks spots ( mostly year ) on my contributions , so people can participate

like jfs said, i like to go by memory too ... but starting to realize i should have read the words that goes with the pics in my books..

Has it occurred to think that if every film were to be posted complete and "oven ready" then participation would thereafter become restricted to perhaps ten or a dozen proponents. I for one would have gone elsewhere.

Well said, John. Incidentally that's a London Buses M class MCW Metrobus out of Brixton in background.

Bit modern for me, Steve. Thanks for your support.

Late to the party here but the ' unknowns' and identifying are the fun of this site to me, otherwise would be a quite boring list of mainly mundane vehicles with much fewer comments.
