I'm unable to spot a vehicle in this pic? |

in the top, centre. Not very visible indeed, I doubt it could be identified (and even then, is it worth listing?) |

To me, it doesn't look like it has much of a front end, unless it's hidden among the man and the woman. And by the curved front end of the roof and the rack on top it looks European. But I doubt there were any European cars in the US during the 1930's -- Last edit: 2007-12-14 22:29:29 |

It's much more likely it was an Austin 12/4 'Low Loader', although it could also have been a 1930's Unic. Source: http://www.lvta.co.uk/history.htm |

I don't recognise the roof (what little there is visible) as any early London taxi, Unic, Napier, Renault, Beardmore, Austin or Morris-Commercial. Filming locations (IMDb) Bath Somerset, Hoxton London, South Bank London, Waterloo Bridge and Waterloo Station, London, UK Bidwell Park - Manzanita Avenue, Chico, California, USA Glasgow, Strathclyde, Scotland, UK |

I haven't seen the film but, since it is a Hollywood film and was made during the war, any real UK locations are probably from stock footage. |
