Looks like a Ford Taunus to me - or as you guys might call it: Cortina, Mk IV or V. Mmmmh? |

Mk5 - rounded corner to top of shiny side window trim and the black vent trim on C-pillar. Ford apparently spent squillions redesigning the Mk5/TC3 from Mk4/TC2 so that it had a bigger glass-house with deeper side windows and most other panels were tweaked so almost none were carried through. But the differences apart from lights and grille were never noticed by anyone ..... If you get your eye in by staring at enough examples of each, you can begin to see a curved drop in the bottom of the side window line towards the B-pillar from both the front and rear corners (which were unchanged) on Mk5/TC3 saloons compared to higher level on Mk4/TC2, but it starts getting silly because they didn't change the estates. However I think I can see the drop here ......... |

The quality of the seats was improved on the Mk V, I recall going from Staffs to Aldershot and back in one day, and visiting the British Army Equipment Exhibition and I could still walk from the car to the house when I arrived back. |
