Broadcast Jan 89. Oct 80 to Jan 83 1.5 GLS?? The other listing I can find for a special edition was Oct 84 5SP, but that had a sunroof.

Nothing sure for "101%" - it looks really confusing - it could be modified by the owner in the meantime, but for me the most important here is that the headrest looks like 1982+ one.

- The front badge is of "Polski Fiat" (1978+ type) - there is white at the top and red below. In UK-only 1981-1982 "FSO CARS" badge - brighter part was at the bottom. To be honest I strongly suspect that, despite the car was renamed in 1981 in UK to FSO 1300/1500 and rebadged (rebadged for brochure needs mostly?), many cars still had this "Polski Fiat" badge in 1981 and 1982.
- In late 1980 lower side strips were removed in Polish ones - in 1982 British brochure they are still present, but again this is "only" brochure and seems it used older pics (cars had older headrests there too).
- GLS in those times used to had large side decals on lower parts of doors (at least on promo pics).

That's why I find 1982 headrests the most important detail here ;) and acc. to this year's brochure naming, I'd make it 1982 FSO 1300 or 1500.

Maybe it's a local dealer special - chocolate (!) vinyl roof and stripes, chrome mirror and radio are easy fits items. Plain wheels suggests it wasn't much of an effort.

Arthur probably fitted the vinyl roof to cover up some rust.

IIRC there were all sorts of gimmicks used by the agents to shift these cars in U.K. The local agent here changed to a Mazda dealership and the site is now occupied by Staffs Mercédès, not a huge change!

My Dad and I bought a couple of these back in the day, when they were badged as Polska Fiat 1500, as do up and sell jobs.
