Well spotted (although the double bumper was a rare option on the TK), the white painted KM protruding headlight surround is visible.

Probably the TKM LT 1966-1984 16-ton (gross) long wheelbase tipper rather than the 15-ton medium length wheelbase I think, but nothing to compare it with.

If KM started in 66/67, did it always have choc ices?? Or was there an initial lollipop version until about 1969, in line with TK??

Choc ices were on the KM in September 1966 for it's introduction at the upcomming Commercial Motor Show. Link to "archive.commercialmotor.com"

TKs were still advertised in March 1966 with lollipops, so the change is either before the KM's introduction or at the same time.

Bedford TK brochure in January 1967 still showed lollipops but how reliable was it? Perhaps old illustrations were still being used. It wouln't be the first time it happened that sales-publicity were slow in catching up.

Further from the lollipops...

1969 deleting the TK's whiskers and new combined outboard lights/turn-signals (lollipops) looks to be completely different to KM.

The KM was de-whiskered before September 1967 (below) and probably in September 1966 although the cover pictures are less clear.

...continued.
The KM front panel for the cab was completely new, as the horizontal form continues to the lower door hange above the new dual headlamps shows.

The old TK panel (with the wiskers had a similar eye-brow which curved down rather than being horizontal.

This TK panel continued alongside the new KM panel until it was, years later, updated by removing the whiskers and the rectangular aperture for the side-light when the choc ices were introduced.
