Bedford TJ, although I have to admit that these trucks (along with the A Type and Opel Blitz) did indeed used the tooling of the Advance Design trucks |

Looks possibly like a J1 from the hub cap. The Advance Design truck drawings was used as a starting point for the cab design but it had to be re-engineered for the Bedford chassis and Luton's production methods. It had to be retooled anyway, so the UK tooling itself was all new. Vauxhall's Engineering and Styling were predominantly concerned with the car side of the business and Bedford's new S-type at the time. |
