I guess it's a ZiL like this model : ZiL 4331 REF.270 Diecast model from Oumanskii Zavod 1/43rd scale |

Build since 1986. How many axles such truck can have? 2? Then we have about 25 possibilites - first model is 4331 (like this 1/43 model). 3 axles = 7 possibilites, not many because it dosen't look for me like 6x6 and first model is 133. |

I guess it's not a too heavy lorry, and rather a 4x2 chassis. Unfortunately there are not any other pictures of it |

Based on a Magirus Deutz. Sometimes in the 70ies (1977/78?) they started the joint-venture-company in the Sovietunion. |

I suppose that the SAMIL/SAMAG 50 and 100, made in South Africa under licence from Magirus-Deutz, were based on the same design. /vehicle_9774-SAMIL-50.html The apartheid regime in South Africa was fanatically anti-communist, so it's rather ironic that they got the same trucks as the USSR. EDIT: And I was completely wrong... -- Last edit: 2008-01-10 21:49:22 |

Somehow (but only from some angles) it reminds also a Renaults CBH Link to "www.car-truck-verkoop.be" On the other hand I believe it is hard to design simple CBE truck which wouldn't be similar to another CBE truck. Trucks which you mentioned Gag Halfrunt with old Magirus-Deutz cabs were actually really made in Russia in 1990's in cooperation with Iveco, under make Ural-Iveco (model Trakker): Link to "www.autoreview.ru" Sixcyl. I agree - light and 4x2 is the most possible. |
