austin/morris? I guess this is rare in Canada? (this movie was filmed in Vancouver) -- Last edit: 2014-08-09 08:07:28 (karoomay) |

One colour, simple side trim, small tail fins: I'd go for 1961+ Morris Oxford Mk.VI (75% sure). |

Although I agree that it seems to have only a single side chrome trim ( like the Oxford Series VI ) the shape of the tail fins, and consequently of the rear lights, looks more of an Austin A60 Cambridge. Both were introduced in the autumn of 1961 ( 1962 model year ). |

You're right, Rpcm: the Morris would have had more pointed tailfins... Back to the Austin, then. |

Was the A60 also sold in the US, or only in Canada? |

Useful that you pulled this up - this was sold as A60 Cambrian in CDN. As far as we know there was no A60 (or any other ADO38 sales) in US, but US did get preceding A55 (Mk1 and 2) as A55 Cambrian. There is also this lonely US estate which is not visibly identifiable between Morris or Austin, nor ADO9 versus ADO38. |
