The usual story is that only Iran build was 2-door, 1978-80; UK 2-door was discontinued Aug 78, so I guess they may have just shipped all the tooling over from Ryton to Iran; however I'm intrigued whether these had the usual front or the 1976+ Chrysler facelift grille and horizontal rear lights. However there are hints Iran builds started in 76 - discussed here - and not entirely clear whether 2 or 4 door at that stage.
