Steyr 91? |

Definitely a Steyr 90-series cab. Could be a Steyr 1490. See http://www.zuckerfabrik24.de/steyrpuch/steyr90_1.htm Those Steyrs seem to also have been produced in Poland by licensee Jelcz. Does anybody from Poland have further information on this? |

In the 1970's Jelcz strictly cooperated with Steyr (result was the Jelcz 600 and 400 with different cab). I think I've read too, that back then, Steyers were somehow assembled here, but forget where it was and can't find any confirmation now (it was rather about those mentioned Jelczes I think, although there were few Jelczes firetrucks with Steyr 90 cabine). Anyway there were quite many of them in the 1970's and 80's Poland. For sure we assembled Steyers in the 90's. I think, it must be a 1978+ 91 (if not something from the 1990's), it is hard to find 90 today. At least in case of the 90 family, chassis with cabine was called "O". -- Last edit: 2010-12-17 16:59:29 |
