XPJ 898 was issued Surrey June-Sept 55, but A125 discontinued Oct 53 (Limo) and 54 (saloon). Presumably either a 1955 re-reg of a 1950 car if link date is solid, or a late build in 55 on an orphan chassis. Were those big lights still current in 55??

Some doubts here about the history of this ambulance https://www.flickr.com/photos/mjjtlee/975113805

"Sheffield Austin Sheerline ambulances, based at Corporation Street, were bodied by Thos.Startin" and generally not Lomas.

"It was restored mainly at Doncaster Ambulance Station workshops..
Info from a friend - The reg. no. is not an old Sheffield one. Their index was mainly WJ. May have been registered by manufacturer (Lomas) or even aquired 2nd hand!"

Possibly a simulated 'City of Sheffield Ambulance Service' vehicle.
