Looks like 1.4 badge. In PL since 1997, earlier only with 1.6. It was car of someone form the crew, it was a bit involved in the scene above and again in the scene of ep. 0253: -- Last edit: 2021-09-20 19:45:13 |

Strange thing is that on Google many 1997 1.4 Twin Sparks have engine type badge below the right taillamp and here the engine badge is on the left - next to the "146"... For me the digit definitely looks like (1.)4 and not 6. Maybe the badging was modified in later part of 1997? |

The new motors were introduced in January 1997, alongside the new interior - I'm not totally sure about the badging at the moment, I have to check on period magazines, but it's possible that it was changed a little later.. Worth to note that it also has pre 1997 wheelcovers https://drpianale.files.wordpress.com/2016/04/20160313-0004.jpg -- Last edit: 2021-05-27 23:02:00 |

Maybe German-sourced? In Germany the 1.3 Boxer was badged as 1.4 |

Didn't know that! Only in Germany? |

No, in most German-speaking countries and in Netherlands the 1351 cc boxer engine was mostly badged as 1.4 |

So could well be from one of these countries..or even could be available on "special order" in Poland, and they sourced a model to be sold in one of these nations what do you think, @Weasel1984? |

Everything is possible then. In general market catalogue for 1997 they say that since 1997 1.4 engine will be available (in a way which suggests that earlier there were only 1.6), but maybe e.g. in 1995 there were also 1.3 boxers named "1.4." - I do not have data for the earliest years at hand. -- Last edit: 2021-09-19 22:10:10 |
