As I stated in the forum, this is either a White-Western Star, or just a Western Star.

Its not a White Western Star. White Western Star never made cabovers they only made conventionals. Western Star made a cabover but they are rare. White made a cabover also that had the same cab design. Volvo that is White used the same cab design to make there cabover.

Here's some clarification, these Western Star cabovers are very uncommon. From what I understand, exactly 620 of these were built. And of those 620, all of those were made in the year 1979 with no exceptions. In 1980 White went out of business, and soon the cabovers were rebadged and continued being sold starting in 1981. These models were called "White High Cabovers" and there are a few examples on this site. In 1988, the models were re-branded AGAIN and where now known as the "White-GMC WH-Series" of cabovers. These where produced from 1988 to 1996 I believe, and had a small re-design sometime in the early 90's which changed the location of the logo. Back to the original cabover, it's just a heavily re-designed version of the Road Commander 2, with almost no resemblance to the original Road Commander. All Western Star branded cabovers have this model name: "1979 Western Star COE." These were made so shortly that there aren't any Western Star cabovers that don't have this exact name. As a side note, there are two other Western Star COE's listed incorrectly on this site, they should also be a 1979 Western Star COE.

This one in Darkman is listed as 1975 Road Commander 2, it was listed correctly, but the user Truck117 misread a picture he posted so now it's incorrect. :??:

Then here's one in Ready to Rumble which is listed as just a Road Commander.
