Close up of Alvis rabbit This pic from another site suggests plate is DG/JG/OG 3474, with only DG 3474 coming up with anything We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided ALVIS UNKNOWN 1931 Registration number: DG 3474 Body type: Sports Colour: Green Date of first registration: November 1931 ... which is where it goes a bit strange. Googling "Alvis DG 3474" promptly goes to this 2008 auction listing for 1931 Alvis 12/60HP TK Sports (UXR 596) with chassis no. 8923. 8923 is old friend from 2 1960s films, both times painted white with GP 5256 plate. UXR 596 comes up as We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided VOLVO VOLVO L90 LOADING SHOVEL Registration number: UXR 596 Body type: Sports Colour: Grey And Black Date of first registration: July 1931 with DVLA saying ✗ Untaxed Tax due: 1 September 2006 Vehicle make ALVIS Date of first registration July 1931 Year of manufacture 1931 Cylinder capacity 1645 cc Fuel type PETROL Export marker No Vehicle status Untaxed Vehicle colour GREY Date of last V5C (logbook) issued 12 October 2005 So there's something odd going on. Whether UXR 596 has become DG 3474 is the question up for grabs - the photos look good, but the footprints stop. And is DG 3474 the current identity of old friend #8923?? |

By the way - rabbit? That is on some German mass transportation thing. On an Alvis? Hare, dear boy, hare! Speed and guile, not some sort of unfortunate prey animal. -- Last edit: 2021-06-10 09:55:20 |

68 type TK were built, of which 48 survive, so there is not a huge oeuvre to go through. |
