Austin 18 “York” looks possible nothing to prove otherwise I think. Looking at other possible saloons seen, if only partially, this could be another contender but I cannot say this one looks like an Austin? ![]() Cropped and enlarged. |

I'm now thinking they could be two different Austins and that the main picture is more similar to this 1935 Austin 12/4 but cannot prove it is the same.![]() Likely to remain an unknown Austin. |

Since the mainstream manufacturers in this era tended to use the same pressed steel for different horsepowers it makes a view like the main very difficult to pin down. |
