Is that even a real one? Looks like made from cardboard and it would have to be an ambulance for very small people... Villamil normally built their conversions in a sober state of mind and I seriously doubt they would have lowered their standards to the point of building this! |

I'd say, with front passenger seat absent, it's quite possible here to rescue people with complete legs. -- Last edit: 2021-12-27 21:42:50 |

or they didn't had enough money to order a full one... just curious, i don't know that car very well, is it its actual lenght ? ( i mean the regular one, not an ambulance conversion ) if so might be a regular one with an ambulance costume ( could be useful to skip traffic lights/stop signs... ) -- Last edit: 2021-12-27 21:52:53 |

@130rapid Yeah, maybe... but that technique was a thing shortly after they stopped using horses. I don't buy it, there's something weird going on with this and it may be made for the movie/ TV show. @Baube Yes, it's the standard length of a Citroen GS Wagon and I second that costume theory! -- Last edit: 2021-12-27 21:57:27 |

well, i'll leave it to the expert but after looking on google what the ambulance look like and the wagon i'd stand by my previous comment or maybe 130rapid is on something here https://www.citroen-gs.nl/types/types_gsgsaambulance.html does this means that Citroen did the ambulance conversion themselves or its a 3rd party brochure ? -- Last edit: 2021-12-27 22:06:58 |

Yes, I know they exist as ambulance in that lenght - my main issue is the weird roof cap , something that not even Elton John would have worn in his more colorful days. Doesn't look real to me at all. |

agree on that .. well, still not sure for Elton John.. however still could be a real ambulance that they got from who knows where, was missing the lights on top and they did this .. if so just a flashing blue light ( or the color of their choice ) would make it more credible than that hat... -- Last edit: 2021-12-27 22:11:32 |

The smaller ones are Citroen ES factory ambulances, the high-roof/ rear-extension ones were distributed by Citroen, but actually made by Carrocerías Pinedo-Villamil - who now get accused of having caused that unprofessional thing with rectangular windowless windows above, but I feel the need to defend them. |

For the color, see also the CX /vehicle.php?id=1594522 On the GS you can just see the top of the blue lamp between the amber ones |
