It is not a Mercury Monarch. These had vertical slots in the grille and the Mercury script in full letters on the hood .More probably a Ford Granada of 1976 or 1977 , very similar to the 1975 with the round headlights in this movie |

Yes, it's a Ford Granada ! ![]() I never heard, before today, about an US version of Granada, and in Europe, "Ford Granada" in used by ford Germany an ex Ford UK to design another, different model. http://members.tripod.com/~drdesign/dangran.htm for example. -- Last edit: 2005-12-29 18:26:52 |

Center section of grille appears to be 1978-80 as do the taillights, and center panel. The headlightbuckets are 75-77 vintage. This car is put together with different parts. |

The header panel/headlights are '75-77 Granada. The grille is '78-80 Granada. Seen up close the grille probably doesn't fit very well. Those of you outside the US can see more about the US model of Granada at www.gmv-registry.com if you like. There were two generations of American Granadas: '75-80 were similar, and '81-82 were built on a different platform. The name was retired in the US after '82. |
