Says the name was Giant Cony AA27 here. Cony was a pet name coined by Aichi Machine Industry Co. for these small three-wheelers, to separate them from the bigger and more utilitary Giant AAs of the 50s. Only 6,935 units were sold in 1959 and 1960. The Hope Star SY was apparently very similar to it mechanically. Cony was apparently not used as the make until 1962, when the Giant Cony 360 became the Cony 360. |
