That high roof format with headroom corridor suggests something like a mobile shop or canteen with hatch on far side. Or a baby giraffe transporter. |

Austin or common-ised Austin/Morris grille, Morris grille models ended sometime in 1965. Therefore could be either. Austin and Morris badges were both red on the A152/J2 but shaped slightly differently I believe (there is little evidence they were also common-ised) - squared-off on the bottom corners for the Austin and torpedo shaped on the Morris. However I cannot say which is seen here. Austin is OK as an identification, but not definite. |

It is a load carrier. Could be a gown van. The high top is very well done and faired into body. The rear door is also heightened. Almost looks like a factory pressing but is not. Many other high tops look like a real afterthought even now. -- Last edit: 2022-04-23 23:02:42 |
