Yes, very likely. ![]() Makai should be interested in this as he is involved with the restoration in Germany of a 27 h.p. 2 seater Drophead-Coupe by Martin Walter owned originally by Warner Brothers. |

Hello everyone. After over two years a little update about the Vauxhall. I just uploaded the sequence with the Vauxhall from "The invisible man returns" . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB54rjA4L20 The car wears the same number plates in the movie as it does when we bought it (AUA 518). Which is kinda interesting because it is the oldest known movie with the car and in later movies it wears different no. plates. Im still amazed, that the car apears almost exactly the same in 1939 that it does in 1991 when it came to germany. In late 1939 (when the movie was filmed) the car has already the lightly damaged mascot for example. Maybe it happens during the little rough scene with the open engine hood. In later movies it has a black steering wheel and dark spoked wheels instead of the light colores in this movie. Does someone know why the car has these "funky" spripes on both doors ? Finally over this wintertime the car gets his new dark blue paintjob. The interior and the top is finished and in wonderful shape and correct material now. I will update you guys with photos if available. Kind regards, Axel |
