It´s a A 135 Princess, short wheelbase, semi hidden rear wheels, thin A pillars. -- Last edit: 2023-04-26 07:03:08 |

I fail to see - anything. How enough detail can be gleaned to make any credible identification is almost as opaque as this rotten image. There are some early 50s Bentleys with split screens, (if, indeed, what we see is a split screen) which can look very like Austin limousines. Not necessarily built at VdP either. MkVI B313CD - Windovers. B495CD - James Young (unlikely). B355GT - H J Mulliner. B214JO - Graber (unlikely). B75KL - H J Mulliner (41 built). B50MD - H J Mulliner (1 off). R-Type B326SR - H J Mulliner. B133SP - Abbott (unlikely). B19TO - H J Mulliner B36YD - H J Mulliner B328YD - H J Mulliner There were also various dhc and coupé cars with split screens. I am not saying that this car is any particular one of these, but how, looking through this fog, can you say it isn’t? All I can say for sure is that it ain’t a Sheerline. -- Last edit: 2023-04-26 10:04:12 |

If it's an Austin, I can't get A135 Princess to work for me - their bodywork was too heavy and side windows too squashed and thin, which is why I went for Sheerline. But if neither Austin works, then it becomes a Bentley, probably as jfs says with split screen. Which is his speciality a lot more than I can hope to untangle. |

^^ I'm far from certain what it is. Do we have any way that the image could be clarified? |

Sorry for short wheelbase. Wheel spats and proportions are corresponding with 1956 Austin Princess 4 Litre limousine. I beleive in IMCDb cooperation. |

Princess 4-Litre Limousine [DM4] looks the nearest to me... /vehicle_1658861-Princess-4-Litre-Limousine-DM4-1959.html |

Princess 4-Litre Limousine [DM4] works for me. Shiny rear quarterlight gleam so not earlier Austin similar, film date too early for VdP renaming. |
