The main pic is more likely a 103E Popular, the thumb is an Anglia. Compare the headlights. |

Hmm, I looked at it for minutes but I am not entirely convinced either way - they should be smaller on a Popular in my opinion. EDIT: or maybe... yeah, sure - we'll roll with it I suppose. -- Last edit: 2022-08-01 17:46:42 |

Which they are. The bumper is also lacking chrome, and there are no overriders. |

I've seen Anglias lacking overriders, so no definite point - as for the bumper chrome it's hard to make out in black-and-white. |

That will not be necessary, thank you. |

You do not have to keep convincing me, I have been for the past hour. |

Can you reliably split them on wheel hubs - Anglia with chrome central cap (as the agreed Anglia in thumb), Popular painted in body colour?? If so, I think there might be a hint of chrome caps in main .... |

The problem is twofold. 1. Seeing them. 2. Hoping nobody has done a scrapyard tune-up. Reliably, it’s really down to the windscreen wipers, Anglia, upwards from scuttle, Popular, downward from top rail, or to the dashboard, Anglia, Bakelite, Popular, tin, but those headlamps are really small. -- Last edit: 2022-08-01 21:24:17 |

Ford publicity shot, basic 1953 Popular. Then Anglia on right. -- Last edit: 2022-08-01 21:53:59 |
