Thames was used as a brand name by the Ford (UK) company. I don't know what was written in official papers, but the vans and trucks had no Ford logos but specific Thames logos. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thames_Trader http://www.thamestrader.org/index.html (links are for Thames Trader) I think we could use 'Thames' as the brand name (just like 'Edsel' or 'Lexus').
