"A second older LT also blinded for route 9 is parked in the doorway of the garage." from http://www.busesonscreen.net/screen/index.php?p=screenfm.fma.askapoliceman However potentially registration could read 'GC ?944' The nearest I can find is 'GC3944' AEC Regent LGOC February 1930 London General ST15? |

When I wrote that I made an assumption it was an LT because route 9 was operated by LTs and and STLs from Mortlake garage, but never STs. It's not possible to distinguish between early LTs and early STs from the front, and we can't see the rear hear, the twin rear axles would be a giveaway. Intriguingly some of those early LTs had GCxxxx registrations, but weren't operating from Mortlake. At the time of filming ST15 was at Hanwell garage. So....we don't have a definitive fit, and neither this screencap nor my own is clear enough. From what we can see, I would agree it looks like ST15 (GC3944). Just because there's no record of it at Mortlake doesn't mean it wasn't there at some point :-) |

Thank you for all the data SteveA. I been examining the registration for some considerable time but missed the obvious. The side of the bonnet shows ST rather than LT and ST15 itself looks likely in conjunction with the registration. -- Last edit: 2022-10-10 12:36:04 |

That's clear enough for me! Happy with that. |
