Triumph, 1800, 2000 or Renown depending on date.

Triumph 1800 - 1946 to 48
2000 - 1949
Renown - 1949 - 52 and Mk II 1952-54

If this is 1946, it has to be a brand new 1800.

It was the Standard Motor Co. flagship at that time, the contemporary Standards being warmed over prewar types, you could hardly meet Mr. Ford (whichever one) in a Flying Eight!

No grille-top mascot, so TD (1800) or 1st year of TDB (2000) before Oct 50.

From the same film footage. The cars in the background could include the New Standard Vanguard phase I? I think its safe to say the Triumph would be almost new at the time of filming.

Looks like a Vanguard behind the Standard Eight. This might rule out 1946 though.
