![]() Zoomed in : ![]() Interesting convertible (or at least I think it's a convertible), but I can't quite figure out what this is. -- Last edit: 2022-11-09 00:01:27 |

No suggestion to offer. Can't think of a scalloped front wing outside 56 Corvette or Aston DB3S, so I'm stumped. But intrigued. |

I'm intrigued as well. |

Merc 300SL Roadster??? |

I agree that the front look 300 SL-ish, but not the rear. |

I think I've cracked it: https://jensencars.be/541%20convert(ibles.html from https://jensencars.be/541%20convert(ibles.html It's a 1955 Jensen 541 Drophead by Abbott, VIN: Abbott 541/PT/3/4631. One of two made by Abbott. Apparently last seen in 1955 which means we're on to something here... -- Last edit: 2022-11-09 18:56:12 |

Funny how there probably was more than one take but the "right" one was used in the final edit. Unless it was deliberate to have the Jensen in the background for some reason. In any case someone should call the Jensen owners club ![]() |

Well spotted. One of two, that’s properly rare! |

it seems to match ! it's very close to the design of the Mercedes 190 SL https://www.jensenmuseum.org/jensen-541-abbott-drop-head-2/ well done ! ![]() -- Last edit: 2022-11-09 19:18:32 |

Bloody hell Gromit, that's a result! [541/4/4631] was Jensen's 4th 541 prototype before its transformation. |
