PUL is London, 10/54 to 11/55, exclusively for PO vehs, so that figures. I have never seen one of these, presumably the service was based in London. It looks like most of the 8cwt was in the back! -- Last edit: 2022-12-17 09:41:13 |

Coming from a family of coppers my Mum insisted on such things, I think my Dad might have been a bit more cavalier about it left to himself. |

I don't see any reason why this is not a Minx Estate, given that we know PO used Minxes rather than Commers, it's got proper side windows which look factory fit, and it has a thick shiny windscreen surround and other bits of window trim. The only way I know to solidly solve this would be view of bonnet badge - Minx had wider winged Hillman logo (and small HILLMAN lettering etched into grille surround), Commer a simpler and smaller plaque. |

![]() 01:17:48 It looks like the Hillman Badge to me rather than a plain Commer badge. The Commer badge, on images I have found, was also mounted lower nearer the bonnet's lower wdge. -- Last edit: 2023-11-28 18:17:39 |

Agree Hillman - Commer for comparison![]() - interesting to note that one has just as many shiny bits as a Hillman - don't know if slightly over-restored or a flag that the differences were minimal/nil by mid-50s. |
