British taxi of some sort. For some reason the Mission Impossible crew added prop number plates but didn't remove or cover its (real?) British plates. |

Austin and Beardmore were separate makes. This one is a Beardmore - an old Scottish firm no longer extant. Date in the 1950s? -- Last edit: 2008-05-23 08:19:24 |

http://www.classic-wheels.co.uk/old_beardmore_taxi.htm The one in the picture suggests 1956/7 as its date, RYN was a London series introduced about that time. Austin may have provided the oily parts, but otherwise no connection. -- Last edit: 2008-05-23 09:42:26 |

For future reference, from http://www.aronline.co.uk "the Beardmore Paramount Mark VII used the 59bhp, 1508cc petrol engine and gearbox from the contemporary Ford Consul MkII, with coachbuilt aluminium bodywork built by Windovers Ltd of Hendon, London" |
