This scene was the reenactment of the murder of Gregory Workman who was shot by The Black Prince of Lygon Street himself, Alphonse Gangitano outside of a house party on Wando Grove at St. Kilda East, Victoria in the early hours of the 7th February 1995. Workman was a career criminal, his career started at the age of 16, over the years, Workman had convictions for abduction, armed robbery, assault, burglary, criminal possession of a firearm, escaping, malicious wounding, and theft. Workman later got involved in the drug trade in early 1990s, the night before his death, on the 6th February, Workman attended a wake at the Richmond Hotel, after the wake, several including Workman and the gunman, Gangitano attended the party at Wando Grove to celebrate the release of armed robber, Mark Aisbett who was released on bail while awaiting trial in relation to armed robbery charges.
