it's a Visa II (grille) mid' 80's. There's was only 1 modele diesel (engine type "XUD") but I don't know if we can recognize it with some external details. Here, may be the 11E modele ? https://www.citroenorigins.fr/fr/vehicule/visa -- Last edit: 2023-03-08 18:40:37 |

I can't track down the grille I'm thinking of as very late - maybe it's not actually the grille but the larger than usual orange indicators without the grey/black plastic surround being a final tweak. And the diesel reference is a red herring - wiki says the 1769 cc XUD diesel needed a wider track, so diesels got black plastic arch extensions not seen above. Nothing listed in Glass's about a very late final tweak, but we lost all petrol Visas by late 86/early 87, leaving only diesels until final imports in Oct 88, which is probably why I made the connection. |

now I have a doubt the black plastic on the edge of the front hood was well on the Visa II (1983-1988) but here it is perhaps a Citroen "Axel" It was a variant rather marketed outside of France...as the film is Greek... http://voitures.citroen.free.fr/?img=55 |

The Axel has got a more flat grille and no side mouldings Link to "de.wikipedia.org" This is a late Visa, most probably a 4-cylinder petrol engined one. The 2-cylinder models usually have no wheel covers, while the diesel has black hubcaps Compare: 2 cylinder (Club in this case) 4 cylinder (11 RE in this case) Diesel -- Last edit: 2023-03-09 19:29:38 |
