![]() ![]() Apparently the first name for the American market was "America Convertible" : ![]() Also mentioned here : Link to "www.automobilrevue.cz" Later it had a few other names, from "Sports Convertible" to "Felicia Convertible" : ![]() ![]() The name probably varied depending on different importer/dealer. ..however this entry clearly shows that it has "Felicia" badge. So perhaps they were generally called "Felicia" in the US either way? -- Last edit: 2023-05-30 00:34:52 |

Can't really be of help but I think that what a dealer/importer calls something in a specific ad and point in time is not necessarily accurate all of the time. Sounds strange but.. If available, badging and written documentation should be checked first. |

Standard Catalog says Felicia Convertible with no reference to America Convertible. But it does mention America Sedan for the previous phase model 58-59 in narrative, though not the actual listing which is S440 and S445 for Deluxe; at that point the convertible was SS450. So America Convertible might have been used unofficially, but Felicia and Octavia seem the solid names, partic if formalised in badging. |
