497 BXK was London, Feb 61 to Jan 62 "allocated in blocks", so likely original plate, not ex MoD sell off and re-reg. |

1957-60 S-type facelift (7-ton) or 1957-60 C-type (4,5 and 6-ton) truck superseded by the TK in September 1960. It has the upper section mesh grille added in 1957 but I think the bright surround for the main grille area is missing which would be strange. If the front wheel were visible the 1957 step-ring should be visible. On the face of it a late S or C type either registered late or was there possibly some limited production alongside the TK for a large contract?
